The DeKalb County Drug Free Council was established in December of 1989 as the recognized Local Coordinating Council for the Governor's Commission for a Drug Free Indiana. In August of 2003 the council changed its name to Drug Free DeKalb County and became an organization dedicated to the development, advocacy, and promotion of all local efforts to prevent and reduce the harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.
We currently strive toward this mission with the help of the Governor's Commission for a Drug Free Indiana as well as the ITPC (Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Trust Fund).
